2025 Education Sponsorship: 50 New Students Join the Program
This year, we are proud to welcome 50 new students into our education sponsorship program, supporting orphaned and vulnerable children across Uganda.
The Paul Lokech Foundation Education Sponsorship Program has welcomed 50 new students for the 2025 academic year, bringing the total number of sponsored students to over 200. This year's cohort represents some of the most vulnerable children from conflict-affected communities across northern Uganda.
Each student receives comprehensive support including school fees, uniforms, scholastic materials, and mentorship throughout their academic journey. The program covers students from primary school through secondary education, with exceptional students eligible for university scholarships.
Selection criteria prioritize orphans, children from families displaced by conflict, and those showing exceptional academic potential despite limited resources. Community leaders and local council officials play an active role in identifying and nominating eligible candidates.
Beyond financial support, the program includes regular mentorship sessions, career guidance, and psychosocial support to help students overcome the emotional challenges associated with their backgrounds. Our team of mentors works closely with each student to build confidence and develop leadership skills.
Since its inception, the education sponsorship program has produced graduates who have gone on to become teachers, nurses, engineers, and community leaders — living proof that investing in education can transform lives and communities.
